Replacing a Faucet

1.) Look at faucet hole pattern on your old faucet. Easiest way is to look under the sink. The faucet shanks are measured by centers to centers. Standard centers are 4”, 8” or 10”
2.) Please Shut off water supply at the angle stops under the sink. Many times these valves are frozen. Use Pliers and gently close in a clockwise rotation until water is off. You also can shut the water off at main water valve outside your house. We believe the angle stops and new faucet flex lines should be replaced at this time. See our faucet installaton kits.
3.) Next remove the old pop-up sink drain with 12” adjustable pliers.Keep a shaallow pan and towel under the sink to catch the water from the sink drain and P trap.
Note: We like to have safety glasses on and a lantern type flashlight to see our work.
4.) Using an ajustable 8” wrench , remove old supply line nuts and flex lines.
5.) Use a 10” or adjustable basin wrench to remove the old faucet lock nuts, holding the
faucet onto the sink
6.) Lift out the olf faucet and clean off any left over putty..

Installing the New Faucet

1.) Place the bottom plate gasket onto the faucet. Also Place plumbers putty under
the faucet plate for making a water tight seal.
2.) Place the new faucet into the sink holes. Make sure the faucet parallel to the
sink edge before you tighten down the lock nuts.
3.) Connect the the faucet supply lines to the angle stops and then to the faucet
shanks.
4.) Connect up the new pop-up drain and linkage.
5.) Assemble the P trap to the drain,using slip joint washers.
